Energy Spray Systems, selects only the finest state-of-the-art eco-friendly materials for our installation projects. We use products manufactured from recycled and renewable materials, for its strength, moisture and fire resistance and elimination of toxic fumes. All of the products we use qualify for compliance with the LEED program for contractors and builders. Energy Spray Systems selects the appropriate materials based on the required application and specific situation, these materials are summarized as follows:

Half pound per cubic foot

This is an open-celled semi-rigid polyurethane product that is water blown foam and is a non-toxic spray with a density of 0.5 lb/ft3. This product is environmentally safe; it emits no toxic fumes, has no harmful gases, CFC, HCFC, formaldehyde or asbestos. It will reduce noise and dust and is ideal for those with allergies and chemical sensitivities. It expands 120 times its liquid volume and fills every nook and cranny as well as any cracks. This material improves energy efficiency and indoor air quality. This product is not suited for use where humidity or wetness is a consideration.

  • Wood or steel construction

Two pounds per cubic foot

This is a closed-cell rigid polyurethane foam with a density of 2 lbs/ft3. The product is manufactured from recycled plastics and renewable soy oil and is ideal for use in high humidity areas. This sprayed foam material expands 30 times its liquid volume and creates a sealed air barrier that prevents condensation that can lead to mold and mildew, and adheres to the substrate conforming to the space. This product is environmentally safe; it emits no toxic fumes, has no harmful gases, CFC, HCFC, formaldehyde or asbestos. The safety of this product is unexcelled and it has stronger tensile strength, a barrier against water vapor and air permeance as well as being fire retardant.
